Microsoft Teams is one of the most popular communication tools in the office environment. However, there are differences in the range of functions between the certified room systems Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRoW) on Windows and Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRoA) on Android. The “parent system” is of course MTR Windows (after all, it is a Microsoft product) – so basically many features are available in the Windows variant first. In the Android variant, some functions are still limited, although some adaptation has already taken place over the last few months. You can see an overview of the different functions below. Which version should I choose?
Microsoft Teams Rooms Android – the uncomplicated version
MS Teams Rooms Android includes two features that the Windows version does not support. If these features described next are important to you, you should consider the Android version.
The Android version scores particularly well with all-in-one device integration, so additional components such as a dedicated PC are not necessary and it is simpler and less resource-intensive for IT overall. Installation, management for multiple rooms and locations are easy to implement. If you are interested in cost savings in terms of additional PCs in meeting rooms, the Android variant is worth considering for you.
Microsoft Teams Rooms Windows for big meeting rooms
With the possibility of using different audio and video components, it can be said that MS Teams for Windows is especially suitable for large meeting room solutions. With these certified audio and video components, high quality can be achieved.
The following functions are only available in the Windows version.
